Kenneth Leroy Webster was born Sept. 3, 1934 in Blackwell, Okla. to Ralph and Grace Webster. At a young age he moved with his family to Elbing, where he lived through 3rd grade. After the family moved back to Grant County, Okla., he attended Lamont schools.
After graduating with honors from Lamont High School, he attended Oklahoma A&M College, going on to complete a master’s degree in agronomy from Oklahoma State University and receiving a commission as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
While completing his higher education, he married the love of his life, Nancy Beth Smart, and they were blessed with 70 years of marriage and four children.
Upon his graduation from Oklahoma State, the Webster family moved to Columbus, Ga. while Kenneth served in the Army. Following an honorable discharge, he taught vocational agriculture in Boise City, Okla. After two years of teaching, he began working for the Ralston Purina Company, where he worked for more than 30 years. Upon retirement, Kenneth and Nancy moved to the Oklahoma City area where they enjoyed meaningful times with many friends and family.
Kenneth was a committed Christian, serving as a church youth group leader and Sunday School teacher. He had a big smile, warm greetings, infectious laughter, hospitality, optimism, grateful heart, and playful spirit.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, James Webster and Keith Webster.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Smart) Webster; children: Kirsten Edwards (Jay), Elizabeth Webster, Celia Palmer (Daniel), and Kenneth “Ken” A. Webster (Jennifer “Jen”); brother, Glenn Webster; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
• Viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service in Bethany, Okla., with family present from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Southern Plaza Independent Living Event Center in Bethany, Okla.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2026 at Bayard Cemetery in Deer Creek, Okla.
