junior foxworthyULYSSES – Junior J. Foxworthy, 90, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019 at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses. 

He was born Jan. 17, 1929 to Jimmy and Monte Foxworthy in Versailles, Mo. 

He married Nina Foxworthy May 25, 2007 in Ulysses. She survives.

As a young man, he worked in a factory.  He served in the US Army Air Forces during the Korean War. 

After an honorable discharge, he worked in Kansas City, Mo., then moved to California and was a supervisor for the city of La Harbor.  He retired and moved to eastern Kansas and was a house painter. 

He enjoyed fishing, camping, and attending senior citizen dances.  He was an avid fan of the KC Chiefs football and KC Royals baseball teams. 

Survivors also include stepdaughter, Beverly Milburn, Ulysses; brother, Aubrey; and sister, Laura Margaret.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings.

• Funeral services took place Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019 at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses with Pastor James Berry presiding. 

Burial took place at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses, with military rites by Dexter D. Harbour American Legion Post #79. 

Memorials are suggested to the Junior Foxworthy Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS  67880.
