omar nortonMOSCOW – Omar Levi Norton, 89, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020 at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hugoton.

He was born Dec. 15, 1930 to Bill and Julia (Gentry) Norton in Holdenville, Okla.

He married Betty Lou (Bullard) Norton May 19, 1950 in Ada, Okla. She survives.

He was an avid fisherman and loved coyote hunting. 

Survivors also include three daughters: Debbie Stoddard and husband, Roy, Hugoton, Vonda Gill and husband, Steve, Sylvia, and Jan Morris and husband, Tony Knopp, Dighton; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many other friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: James Norton, Linzy Norton, William Norton Jr., Leonard Norton, and Milmo Mitchell; and sisters: Venita West, Louie Smith and Doylene Bell.

• Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020 at United Methodist Church in Moscow, with graveside services to follow at the Moscow Cemetery in Moscow.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020,  and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, at Robson Funeral Home in Hugoton. The family will be at the funeral home Friday, Feb. 14, 2020 from 6 to 8 p.m. to receive friends.

A memorial has been established for United Methodist Church, Moscow, Kansas.  Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, PO Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
