Liberal bowling took 31 out of 44 possible points Tuesday against Dodge City at Billy’s Ayr Lanes. 

The junior varsity girls took all 11 Western Athletic Conference points with a total pinfall of 1,831 to Dodge City’s 1,649. The JV individual overall top three were Mackenzie Farmer in first with a 388 series. Alejandra Rios was second with a 368 series, Lauren took third with a 363 series. 

The varsity girls scored 1 WAC point with a total pinfall of 2,136 while dodge City had a total pinfall of 2,499. Caitlyn Carlile finished fourth with a 480 series. 

The juior varsity boys took all 11 WAC points with a total pinfall of 2,367 with Dodge City having a total pinfall of 1,557. James Hammel took first with a 529 series which was the top boys series overall. Oscar Rubio finished second overall with a 478 series, and Oscar Palacios was third with a 416 series. 

The varsity boys scored 8 WAC points with a total pinfall of 2,450 to Dodge City's 2409. Cooper Clumsky finished second overall with a 509 series. 

The JV/C team’s top three bowlers were Jaden Jennings with a 401 serieswhich was the fifth highest among Liberal’s and Dodge City’s JV teams. 

Edwin Murillo had a 373 series which was seventh overall, and Kamryn Jennings had a 340 series for 10th overall. 

“Today was a great day for our program to set a bar for our season,” Liberal coach Andrew Potter said. “Many boys and girls performed at a high level. We will use today to help us continue to improve as we move forward into the season.”
