Anna Lee Meek, 97, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026 at Caring Hands Assisted Living in Porter, Texas.
She was born Dec. 21, 1928 to Clarence and Roberta (Bowers) House in Cottonwood Falls.
She graduated from Hays High School in Hays.
She married Bill G. Meek Sept. 22, 1949 in Hays. He preceded her in death Aug. 11, 2013.
While living in Liberal, she worked at Oliver’s Shoe Store and Collins Diamonds.
During retirement, she enjoyed crafting, country music, traveling and spending time with her family.
Survivors include three sons: David Meek and wife, Nancy, Porter, Texas, Bill Meek, Liberal, and Gary Meek, Moore, Okla.; daughters-in-law, Donna Meek, Porter, Texas, and Kim Meek, Sapulpa, Okla.; eight grandchildren: Shawn Meek, Brandon Meek, Bryan Meek, Jason Meek, Joshua Meek, Farrah Gomez, Kerry Ools, and Adam Wooden; and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Kevin Meek; twin sons, David Lee and Gary Lynn Meek; brother, Bud House; sister, Mary K. Schmidt; and daughter-in-law, Michelle Meek.
• Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026 at First United Methodist Church in Hays.
Burial will follow at Mt. Allen Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026 at the church.
