Two drivers were issued citations after a non-injury accident Tuesday evening in northwest Liberal.
Liberal Police Department Capt. Pat McClurg said in a press release the accident happened around 6 p.m. Tuesday, when emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of 15th Street and Western Avenue.
McClurg said responding officers found two vehicles were involved.
“Investigating officers found a 2005 Nissan Sentra, driven by a 15-year-old female, was traveling south on Western Avenue,” he said. “A 2013 GMC Sierra, driven by a 26-year-old female, turned left in front of the Sentra. The vehicles collided in the intersection.”
McClurg said Seward County EMS and the Liberal Fire Department responded to the scene, but no injuries were reported.
The driver of the Sentra was issued a citation for driving in violation of license restrictions. The driver of the Sierra was issued a citation for failure to yield while turning left.
