A Liberal woman suffered a possible injury in an accident Tuesday afternoon in Seward County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 2013 Honda Civic was stopped while waiting for a pilot car on U.S. Highway 83 just north of Road 9 when a 2001 Honda Civic failed to yield and struck the 2013 in the rear.
The driver of the 2001 Civic, Francisco Pascual Vicente, 55, of Salina, and a passenger, 23-year-old Andres Rodriguez of Liberal, suffered no apparent injuries.
The driver of the 2013 Civic, though, did suffer a possible injury, as KHP said Angelica Chavez, 21, of Liberal did complain of pain and was taken to Southwest Medical Center. The agency did say a juvenile was also present in that vehicle, but their record was protected data.
Seat belts were in use in both vehicles, according to KHP.
