“An upgrade of rooftop HVAC equipment and controls is necessary for the office area of Cottonwood Elementary School to return the system to proper operation,” the agenda information noted.
New Liberal High School courses for the 2018-19 school year will also be discussed. For the final new business item, the board will be discussing proceeds from the bond.
“Discussion with Gilmore and Bell has provided the following deadline to have all bond proceeds spent by the 5-year anniversary of the bonds being issued, which would be June 2019,” the agenda information noted. “If the bond proceeds, approximately $8.3 million, are not spent by this date, USD 480 could have a potential fee due to the IRS.
