For the past six years in August, the Seward County Fairgrounds has played host to the annual PRCA Rodeo.

This year, there will be no rodeo, according to a press release on the Seward County PRCA Rodeo Facebook page.

“Rodeo fans, we are sad to say that due to circumstances outside of our control, the seventh edition of the Seward County PRCA Rodeo will have to wait until 2021,” the release said. “We value and love the support that our sponsors and fans give us, and we want to be able to give the best show each and every year, and this year would not have been the quality of show we strive to bring you.”

Not to worry, though, rodeo fans. The local PRCA will be back, the post said, Aug. 21 and 22, 2021.

“The bucking horses and bulls of Rocky Mountain Pro Rodeo will make their debut in Liberal to keep you on the edge of your seat, and the parade will be back on Main Street with the longhorns,” the release said.

Rodeo fans can also check out action July 28 through Aug. 2 in Dodge City and Aug. 21-23 in Guymon, Okla.
