An arrest has been made, and charges have been filed against the suspect in a murder of a teenager earlier this month in Beaver, Okla.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation made that announcement Wednesday in a release posted on its Facebook page. The agency said the murder occurred during the early morning hours of July 14 in the Panhandle community.

The suspect, 28-year-old Dalton Creed, was arrested last week in connection with the murder of 17-year-old Logan Busby.

“Creed is charged with murder in the first degree and possession of a firearm after a felony conviction,” the release said.

The release went on to say around 12:30 a.m. July 14, the Beaver Police Department requested assistance from OSBI after a shooting occurred in the 300 block of Avenue N in Beaver.

“Dispatch received a 911 call that Busby had been shot,” the release said. “He was taken to the hospital where he later died.”

Creed is currently in the Beaver County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
