Seward County Community College ranks second in the state of Kansas for student graduation rates. The state released its annual community college data book Feb. 9, listing information about student performance at the 19 community colleges in Kansas.

SCCC is second in graduation rates for the 100 percent time frame (students completing a degree or certification in the prescribed time for all required courses) and second for the 150 percent time frame among community colleges in Kansas. The college also had the second-highest retention rate, which measures the number of students who return for the second year of instruction after beginning a program.

“While we need to focus on continually improving, this data is excellent and something we should all be proud of,” SCCC President Brad Bennett said. “I want to congratulate the entire Saints family and students, all of them demonstrate hard work and commitment to student success.”
