Four individuals were arrested recently following a traffic stop that resulted in the discovery of drugs in Liberal.
Liberal Police Department Deputy Chief Chris Head said in a press release, around 2 a.m. Feb. 13, officers with the LPD conducted a traffic stop on a 2010 Chrysler 300 in the 200 block of North Grant.
“During the stop, drug paraphernalia and narcotics were located,” he said. “A 30-year-old male and a 27-year-old female were arrested for distribution of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.”
Following the traffic stop, Head said officers applied for a search warrant in the 900 block of North Lincoln where more drugs and paraphernalia were located.
“A 25-year-old male and a 22-year-old female were arrested and charged with possession of stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine and possession of paraphernalia,” he said.
