The Fellowship of Christian Athletes had its  first  All-Area Banquet to honor coaches and athletes in the Oklahoma Panhandle and Southwest Kansas for their outstanding Christian commitment and influence in their schools and community.

Around 150 people gathered at the Beaver County Fairgrounds for this banquet.  FCA Area Representative Lisa Batt and the Area FCA Board served a meal and then awarded the honorees with plaques.

After the awards, Turpin and OU alumni Michael Dulaney spoke to the audience on the importance of FCA and staying connected to a body of believers even after high school.

Dulaney was also there to kick-off the fundraiser for the John Wayne Dulaney Memorial FCA Scholarship Fund that will help to send students to FCA camp for many years to come.

This fund began with a $30,000 matching gift from the Dulaney memorial as a way to honor John Wayne and his love for FCA and for sharing the love of Christ with those around him.
