jim hinesJOHNSON – Jim Hines, 70, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021 at Stanton County Hospital in Johnson. 

He was born May 7, 1951 to Loren Oliver and Norma P. (Woods) Hines in Tarkio, Mo.

He worked at Prairie Pines Golf Course as a groundskeeper, with Taft Construction, Stanton County Sheriff Department as a jailer, Stanton County High School custodian, and City of Johnson trash truck driver. 

He enjoyed dancing and singing and always had his dog, Pinto, with him.

Survivors include children: Beau Hines and Amy Richardson, Johnson, Stephanie and John Ball, Laurel, Miss., and Crissy and Patrick Milroy, New Highlands, Calif.; grandchildren: Beau James Hines, Grant Hines, Sean Hines, Christopher Hines, Kaitlynn van Kampen Hines, Kamryn Golub, Mikey Golub, Alex, Travis and Tori Ball; and great-grandchildren, Maisy and Chance. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deb Golub; his parents; and son, Michael Golub.

• Cremation has taken place.

The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
