jimmie farrJimmie Farr, 75, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022 at his home in Liberal.

He was born Oct. 8, 1946 to Darcy “Bud” Willard Farr and Alliene (Bowling) Farr in Binger, Okla.

He married Sharon Ann Lee Dec. 31, 1968, in Binger, Okla. She survives.

He graduated in 1964 from Binger High School in Binger, Okla. and went on to earn his associate’s degree. 

He was an oil and gas production supervisor for Phillips Petroleum and a member of the U.S. Army Reserve. 

He loved watching car racing and being involved in his grandchildren’s sporting events. 

He belonged to Texas Baptist Disaster Relief, traveling to many places of devastation to provide assistance, food, and clean water for disaster victims. 

Survivors also include son, Dale Farr, Dallas; daughters, Tammy Dupree (Lori), Austin, Texas and Mindi Ormiston (Dustin), Liberal; sisters, Arlene Bordwine, Binger, Okla., and Darlene Priddy, Edmond, Okla.; grandchildren: Elizabeth Farr, Blade Ince (Molly), and Jenna Ormiston; and great-grandchildren: Luke Ince, Lilliana Ince, and Stella Farr.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Logan Ince.

• Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022 at First Southern Baptist Church at 621 N. Western Avenue in Liberal with Pastor Randy Caddell presiding.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, 2022 at the Graceland Cemetery in Bridgeport, Okla.

Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2022 at Hornung Family Funeral Home at 1212 W. 2nd Street in Liberal. Family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the First Southern Baptist Church Food Cupboard.
