JOSEPH KRAFFT

Joseph Donald "Joe" Krafft, 88, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022 at Brookdale Liberal Springs. 

He was born Oct. 14, 1933, to William and Amy Wallace Krafft. 

He married Alice Weikel April 12, 1958. She preceded him in death April 20, 2019.

He graduated from the University of Tulsa with a degree in Petroleum Engineering and worked for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline for 30 years. 

He enjoyed fishing and camping with his family, square dancing with his wife, flying airplanes, and volunteering at the Liberal Air Museum. He also enjoyed working with his hands around the house and yard. 

He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal. 

He served on the board of Birthline and supported similar organizations.

Survivors include his children: Edward Krafft, Liberal, Catherine Barnett, San Angelo, Texas, Mary Noon, Stilwell, Diane Krafft, Overland Park, Terri Hamel, Yukon, Okla., Christopher Krafft, Louisburg, and Bill Krafft, Kansas City, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his siblings: Betty Krafft Shelton, Bill, Jack, Bob, and Jane Krafft.

Rosary services will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2022 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal.

Burial will take place at the Liberal City Cemetery in Liberal.
