ULYSSES – Eliazar (Elias) Degollado, 58, died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023 at his home in Ulysses.
He was born May 8, 1964 to Felix and Vicenta (Luna) Degollado.
He married Dora Arevalo Jan. 26, 1986. She survives.
He was a self-employed truck driver hauling mostly grain. When he was done working for the day, he enjoyed listening to music and watching Western movies.
He was a master griller and an avid KC Chiefs fan.
He was a member of Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses.
Survivors also include his parents; five daughters: Johanna Delgado, Yukon, Okla., Pamela Degollado, Wichita, Kayla Degollado, Ulysses, Mai Degollado, Ulysses, and Mia Degollado, Ulysses; five brothers: Alfredo Degollado, Miguel Degollado, Frank Degollado, Felix Jr. Degollado, and Ramiro Degollado; three sisters: Macrina Rodriguez, Consuelo Ballesteros, and Rebecca Chavez; and four grandchildren: Natalia Delgado, Jayden Urias, Camila Delgado and Elisa Degollado.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Degollado.
• Rosary services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023 at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2023 at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses, with Reverend Charles Seiwert presiding.
Burial will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023 at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
