JEAN FINCH

Jean Margaret (Buckland) Finch, 74, died Monday, March 13, 2023 at her home in Liberal. 

She was born Dec. 9, 1948 to Doris May (Cagle) and Joseph Edward Buckland. 

She married E. Roy Finch.

She was involved in Girl Scouts and Rainbow Girls in her youth. During her days at Liberal High School, she was Usher Club President, a Homecoming Attendant and a member of the Class of 1966. She later attended Friends University in Wichita.

She was active in UMYF at First United Methodist Church where she developed a deep love for Jesus. 

She attended the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Liberal.

Survivors include son, Stephen Finch, Irvine, Calif.; grandchildren, Haley and Ashley Finch, Huntington Beach, Calif.; sister, JoAnne Mansell, Liberal; nephew, Jerry Mansell and wife, Laura, Liberal; brother, Buck Buckland and wife, Irma, Liberal; nieces, Jennifer Buckland, Austin, Texas, and Hattie Hammonds and husband, James, Manchaca, Texas; nephew, Joey Buckland and wife, Sarah, Austin, Texas; and sister-in-law, Julie Torres, Austin, Texas. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

• Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2023 at Miller Mortuary in Liberal, with cremation to follow the service.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Miller Mortuary in Liberal.
