BECKY ELLIS

JOHNSON – Becky J. Ellis, 84, died Tuesday, May 16, 2023. 

She was born April 9, 1939 to Charles and Alma (Patee) Clark.  

She married Wesley Ellis June 13, 1957. He preceded her in death. 

She worked as a farm wife for 20 years before she went to work at Russ’ Jack and Jill and then as an optometrist technician for Hopkins & Hopkins in Ulysses and Syracuse. 

She was very active with her grandchildren and enjoyed watching her family participate in all their activities. 

She also loved to go to the casinos, dancing, and swimming. 

Survivors include three sons: Jim Ellis and wife, Pam, Steve Ellis and wife, Karen, and Scott Ellis and wife, Lori; brother, Bob Clark; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Bill, Jim and Ken Clark; and sister, Donna Mader.

• Rosary will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2023, with Mass of Chrisitan Burial to follow at 2 p.m. at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses, with Reverend Charles Seiwert presiding. 

Burial will follow at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson. 

Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2023 at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson.
