John Alvin Bond, 76, died May 16, 2023.
He was born Jan. 23, 1947 to Charles Vinton and Lena (Schell) Bond.
He served in the United States Army, being stationed in Korea.
He worked on many oil rigs, Jayhawk Pipeline and retired from Seward County Road and Bridge as a road grader engineer after 22 years.
Survivors include his partner of 18 years, Faye Northern; three sons: Shane Mickel (Miranda), Terry Duane (Heather), and Tony Leon (Michelle); siblings: Oscar LeRoy, Carl Ray (Zita), Eldeana Fern Winfrey (Gordon), Charles Larry (Tonya), Edward Lee (Barbara), James Dale (Jackie), Lena Faye Smaltz (Bruce), Karliss Jean Cox, Melba Ann Domer (Ken), and Benn Joe (Sydney); sister-in-law, Arva Lea Bond; 12 grandchildren, Justin Robert, Nathan Mickel, Austin Scott, Brayden Jo, Hunter Cole, Carson Thane, Kyla Sha, Tyler Jay, John Douglas, Tucker Charles, Derek Stephan, and Emily Morgan; 11 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Floyd Dean.
