GABRIEL CARRILLO

JOHNSON – Gabriel (Grable) R. Carrillo, 76, died Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Western Prairie Senior Living Community in Ulysses. 

He was born March 25, 1947 to Francisco and Emeteria Carrillo.

He enjoyed fixing lawnmowers, gardening and going to Bingo. 

He loved his family and was always proud of their accomplishments. 

He loved to fish and was always catching “Channel Cats”. He was a very unique, big-hearted person. 

Survivors include sisters, Ruth Partida and husband, Louie, and Lupe Beltran; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers: Teddy, Frank, Tony, John and Cruz; and four sisters: Juanita, Annie, Ramona and Cipiana.

• Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2023 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Johnson 

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2023 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Johnson, with Reverend Charles Seiwert presiding. 

Burial will follow at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson. 

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson.
