James Lee Ridley, 65, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018 at his home.

He was born Jan. 20, 1953 to Robert W. and Mayoe Porter Buster in Guymon, Okla. 

He married Linda Landess Harron Nov. 11, 1995. She survives.

He attended school and graduated from Guymon High School with the Class of 1971. He then attended OPSU in Goodwell, Okla. for two years. During this period, he apprenticed at Hitch in Guymon. He finished his bachelor’s degree in accounting at OSU in Stillwater, Okla.

He was the chief auditor for Peat Marwick and Mitchell in Lubbock, Texas and later became a partner in an accounting firm in Lubbock. 

He began an accounting practice out of his home in Baker in 1996 and later was a partner in Double SS Trucking, where he personally owned two trucks.

He was a member of the Baker United Methodist Church, was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing chess, and raised Angus cattle.

Survivors also include daughter, Dallas and Lt. Colonel Steven Broussard, Pensacola, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Trecia Buster, Oakton, Va., and Delores Buster, New Branfels, Texas; and grandchildren, Caroline and Charlotte. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Robert W. Buster Jr., and John P. Buster.

• Memorial services took place Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Baker United Methodist Church in Baker, Okla. with Rev. Todd Bergman presiding.
