donald graszELKHART – Donald Grasz, 72, died Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.  

He was born Oct. 27, 1945 to Raymond Fredrick and Marie (Smith) Grasz in Elkhart.

He married Brenda Emmert July 3, 1966 in Elkhart. She survives.

He worked for Panhandle Eastern for 25 years, owned the Phillips 66 Station, and then retired form Point Rock Golf Course after 15 years.  

He was one of the founding owners of Gem Dandy.  

He enjoyed playing golf, riding motorcycles, bowling, fishing, and trap shooting. 

Survivors also include son, A’Don Tate Grasz, Ponca City, Okla.; daughter, Jodi Tedder and husband, Chris, Greensburg; sisters: Shirley Crosley and husband, Lynn, Nampa, Idaho, Barbara Procyzyn, Colorado Springs, and Peggy Pierce, Danville, Va.; brothers-in-law, Rick Emmert and wife, J’neen, Fairfield, Texas, Mike Emmert and wife, Tammy, Elkhart, and Jeff Emmert and wife, Brenda, Sunray, Texas; aunt, Ruth Smith, Elkhart; six grandchildren: Remington, Domini, and Lone Grasz, and Rhylan, Colby, and Cambree Tedder; and many nieces, nephews and other loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

• Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Church of the Nazarene in Elkhart with Pastor Keith Davis and Rick Emmert presiding.  

Burial will follow at a later date at the Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart.  

Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project, Samaritan’s Purse, Morton County Historical Society Museum, or the donor’s choice all in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 854, Elkhart, KS 67950.
