bryce petersonBryce Steven Peterson, 41, died Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at his home in Hugoton. 

He was born Sept. 21, 1976 to Steven and Tammie (Crane) Peterson in Hugoton. 

He married Emily Campbell Oct. 10, 1997 in Hugoton. She survives.

He attended school in Hugoton and graduated from Kansas City Community College in 2000 with an associate’s degree in mortuary science. 

He worked as a embalmer and funeral director at Miller Mortuary in Liberal and was a perfectionist in his skills. 

He enjoyed shooting, fishing, camping, boating, riding his motorcycle, teasing his nieces and nephews and maintaining his yard. 

He was a member of First Christian Church of Hugoton.

Survivors also include his parents; sons, Trace Matthew Peterson, Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, Calif., and Takoda Eckert, Manhattan; brother, Tylan Peterson and wife, Veronica, Hugoton; sister, Tanae Cox, Hugoton; and grandmother, Karolyn Crane, Hugoton.

He was preceded in death by brother, Chastin Peterson; grandparents, Bill and Marylou Peterson; and grandfather, Don Crane.

• Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2018 at the First Christian Church in Hugoton with Sr. Minister Heath Kelley presiding.

Burial will follow at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton.

There will not be a public viewing.
