randall munkresRandall (Randy) Leon Munkres, 57, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020 at St. Mary's Hospital in Reno, Nev.

He was born April 1962 to Robert and Carol Munkres (Campbell) in Liberal.

He married Holly Adair in Las Vegas. She survives.

He graduated from Southwestern Heights High School with the Class of 1980. 

He enlisted into US Air Force in August 1980, where he was trained to be a jet engine mechanic. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1995. 

After his time with the Air Force, he went to work with Mt. Vernon Plastics as an injection mold and thermoforming mechanic, then Royal Sierra Extrusion as a maintenance manager, later moving into air compressor sales for Atlas Copco. 

He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, NASCAR Racing, and traveling the U.S., especially the San Juan Islands.

Survivors also include his mother, Carol Foster and husband, Bill, Liberal; son, Tyler Munkres, Merced, Calif.; daughters, Tiffany Boyer, Santa Barbara, Calif., and Chelsey Skower, Denver; grandchildren, Arianna Munkres and Violet Boyer; three sisters: Candi Prater and husband, Rick, Liberal, Tina Wedel, Edmond, Okla., and Gina Scott and husband, Mike, Cypress, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Elmer and Lucille Munkres; and maternal grandparents, Carl and Mildred Campbell.

• Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020 at Faith Tabernacle Church in Liberal with Pastor Rex Petty presiding. 

Burial will follow at the Kismet Cemetery in Kismet.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Faith Tabernacle Church in care of Miller Mortuary PO Box 826 Liberal, KS 67905-0826.
