colleen pennerULYSSES – Colleen G. Penner, 62, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, at Baptist St. Anthony Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. 

She was born Nov. 1, 1957 to William E. and Alice B. (Sylvester) Hacker in Liberal. 

She worked as an engineer technician for Amoco Production Company. 

She also loved photography and would often chronicle family vacations through her photographs. 

She enjoyed traveling to different places, both in the US and abroad, and particularly loved traveling to the Colorado Rockies for summer vacations.

Survivors include her mother; sons, Eric Penner, Houston, Texas, and Kevin Penner and wife, Allie, Sugar Land, Texas; brothers, Mike Hacker and wife, Vivian, Lone Jack, Mo., and Ron Hacker, Vinita, Okla.; sister, Connie Carson and husband, Billy, Enid, Okla.; granddaughter, Amber Penner, Sugar Land, Texas; two nephews two nieces and their children. 

She was preceded in death by her father; and daughter, Amber Michelle Penner.

• Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020 at the Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses with Reverend Kelly Gindlesberger presiding. 

Burial will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses. 

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020 at the Garnand Funeral Home Chapel.
