MARYLOU GIFT

MaryLou Gift, 81, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017 in Tyler, Texas.

She was born Nov. 3, 1935 to Walter Charles Ross and Mary Leola Bennett Ross in Liberal.  

She was raised in Liberal and graduated from Liberal High School in 1953.  

She married Floyd Dale Gift Dec. 27, 1953, in Liberal. He preceded her in death Aug. 13, 2006.

She was a homemaker and in her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, genealogy, traveling and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Wills Point, Texas.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Wayne Ross and Glen Eldon Ross.

Survivors include four sons: Paul Gift and wife, Sheila, Holyoke, Colo., Floyd Gift Jr. and the late Kate Sumner, Holyoke, Colo., Charles Richard Gift and wife, Carolyn, Terrell, Texas, and Mark Alan Gift and wife, Kristi, Wills Point, Texas; three daughters: Vickie Bowyer, Wichita, Janice Aoyama and husband, Kory, Plano, Texas, and Jenifer White and husband, Mitchell, Indianapolis; 28 Grandchildren; and 18 Great-grandchildren. 

• Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bro Dennis Ivy presiding.  

Burial will follow at Bright Star Cemetery north of Wills Point, Texas under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, with family present during that time.
