Dewayne Curtis Schroeder, 63, died Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo.

He was born Sept. 11, 1957 to William Kermit and Maria Rose Friesen Schroeder in Oklahoma City.

He attended school in Adams, Okla. until eighth grade and then attended Hooker High School.

After finishing school, he farmed with his parents and did construction with the Schroeder Brothers.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a woodworker and played the guitar.

He was a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church in Adams, Okla., where he sang in the choir.

Survivors include sister, Kathy Krontz, Hooker, Okla.; nephews, Rodney Krontz Jr. and Justin Krontz; great-niece, Carly Krontz; and great-nephew, Colton Krontz.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

• Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Mennonite Brethren Cemetery near Adams, Okla. with Rev. Odie Nunley presiding.
