Iona Fern Graber, 98, died Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Wheatridge Care Park in Liberal.

She was born Aug. 9, 1921 to William and Nellie (Taylor) Peek in Fowler.

She married Elmer H. Graber Dec. 3, 1938 in Meade. He preceded her in death in 1999.

She was a graduate of Hugoton High School. 

She worked at Gibson's Discount Center in Liberal. 

She enjoyed sewing, tending to her flower beds, and loved being with her family. 

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Liberal where she was active in the United Methodists Women's Group.

Survivors include son, David Graber and wife, Robinette, Ulysses; daughter, Wantha Johnson and friend, Arthur Tilford, Liberal; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Wayne Graber; grandson, Lawrence David Moye; three brothers; and four sisters.

• In accordance with current CDC and KS Dept. of Health recommendations, private funeral services will take place at the First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Keith Anglemyer, officiating.

Burial will take place at the Liberal City Cemetery in Liberal.
