cynthia broadfootCynthia Kay Broadfoot, 65, died Saturday, July 25, 2020 in Edmond, Okla.

She was born March 16, 1955 to Wesley Duland Wells and Anna Beatrice (Calvert) Wells in Guymon, Okla. 

She married Tim Broadfoot Oct. 15, 1977. He survives.

She graduated from Liberal High School and went onto receive her associate’s degree from Seward County Community College in Liberal. 

She was a troop leader for the Girl Scouts and a preschool teacher.

Survivors also include her father; son, Ryan (Sarah) Broadfoot, Seiling, Okla.; daughter, Leanna (Paul) Brixey, Chandler, Okla.; sisters: DyAnna Wells, Wichita, Rebecca (Dean) Kenny, Oklahoma City, Deborah Estes, Norman, Okla., and Susan (Gene) Holder, Liberal; sisters: DyAnna Wells, Wichita, Rebecca (Dean) Kenny, Oklahoma City, Deborah Estes, Norman, Okla., and Susan (Gene) Holder, Liberal; nieces and nephews: Taylor Pratt and Andrea Morales, Calder and Jami O’Toole Pratt, Ashley Kenny, Dr. Jonathan and Barbie Hanna, James and Cody Estes, Daulton and Salma Holder, Daniel and Meghan Marquez, and Mary Francis (Frankie) Holder; eight grandchildren: Leila Aguilar, Brianna Glenn, Cadence Broadfoot, Hayden Broadfoot, Landon Brixey, Bryson Brixey, Madeline Brixey, Easton Brixey; and great-grandchildren, Cameron Thompson and Harlow Hanna.

She was preceded in death by her mother; daughter, Nicole Broadfoot; brother, Wesley Wells; father and mother-in-law, Karl and Madeline Broadfoot; brother-in-law, Tony Broadfoot; grandparents: Roy and Eunice Broadfoot, Laura and Jack Pifer, Wesley and Martha Wells, C.J. and Ethel Calvert; aunts, Maybel Mitchell, Phyllis Calvert-Chase and Sandy Dayton; and uncles, Benny Broadfoot, Arnold Wells, James Countryman, and Clarence Countryman.

• Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020 at Faith Tabernacle Church (514 N. Kansas Avenue) in Liberal with Pastor Rex Petty presiding. 

Burial will follow services at the Liberal City Cemetery at 1900 W. 15th Street.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2020 at Hornung Family Funeral Home at 1212 W. 2nd Street in Liberal.
