larry wrightLarry Gail Wright, 78, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. 

He was born Sept. 7, 1942 to Marquerite Dean (Cagle) and Novell Lafayette Wright in Knox City, Texas.

He had a great knowledge of plants and enjoyed gardening. He was especially challenged by those that were hard to grow in a cooler climate. 

He would write about his daily happenings in journals since his early twenties; thus, with these journals, He always had a camera around his neck snapping pictures of his friends and family. 

Watching sports was a favorite pastime and he could quote the scores from games his favorite teams played the previous week. 

He was a member of the Sublette United Methodist Church.  

Survivors include his brothers, Rodney Wright and wife, Kitty, Abilene, Texas, and Arlis Wright and wife, Terri, Abilene, Texas; sisters, Beverly Hall and husband, Pete, Sublette, and Tammya Pettay, Grand Junction, Colo.; 14 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

• There is no visitation as cremation has taken place. 

A Celebration of Life will be announced for a later date at Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene, Texas.
