antonio pandoROLLA – Antonio Eloy Pando, 73, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Lakewood, Colo.

He was born Dec. 10, 1947 to Valerio and Elisa (Pando) Pando in Los Garcias, Chihuahua, Mexico. 

He married Amparo (Soto) Pando Dec. 24, 1967 in Mexico. She survives.

He was a member of the St. Helen Catholic Church in Hugoton.

He owned and operated Apache Trucking and enjoyed working with the people in Southwest Kansas.

Survivors also include sons, Eduardo Pando and wife, Norma, Dodge City, and Jorge Pando, Rolla; daughters, Karla Henke and husband, Jason, Wichita, and Patricia Cutting and husband, David, Wichita; brothers, Homero Pando and wife, Socorro, Rolla, Enrique Pando wife, Emma, Lubbock, Texas; four sisters: Magdalena Pando and husband, Mario, Mexico, Socorro Williams and husband, Brian, Amarillo, Texas, Rosa Borunda and husband, Jeronimo, Perryton, Texas, and Lucy Almanza and husband, Alfredo, Amarillo, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Juan José Pando.

• Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Hugoton. 

Private funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2021 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Hugoton. 

Public burial will follow at Rolla Cemetery. Masks are encouraged for your safety and others.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021 at Robson Funeral Home in Hugoton.

A memorial has been established for the family. Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
