dale voseDale Lee Vose, 86, died Sunday, January 17, 2021, at his home in Alma, Neb. 

He was born Feb. 22, 1934 to Paul and Ruth “Vernnie” (Gaines) Vose on the family farm in Rooks County. 

He married Donna Jean Elliott Sept. 6, 1953 at the Phillipsburg United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death Feb. 25, 1998.

He married Shirley Rae (Pearson) Dietz at the Alma Evangelical Free Church and in Alma, Neb. She preceded him in death June 26, 2009.

He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling, and spending time in the R.V. 

He was a past Master of the Masonic Lodge #184 in Phillipsburg and belonged to the Sunflower Shriners Club in Great Bend. He was a York Rite Shriner, belonging to the Isis Shriners Club in Salina, and was a member of the Phillipsburg Eastern Star #168.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; and great-grandson, Rylon Vose.      

Survivors include children, Patrick L. Vose and wife, Michelle, Liberal, and Lori A. Mitchell and husband, Ken, Great Bend; significant other, Connie Wolfe, Alma, Neb.; four grandchildren: Aaron Mitchell and wife, Maci, McPherson, Stacia Nokes and husband, Colby, King George, Va., Abby Kramer and husband, Timothy, Topeka, and Derek Vose, Liberal; six great-grandchildren: Kennedy, Taylor, and McKinley Nokes, and Braxton, Devin, and Payton Vose; step-grandsons, Nathaniel Alexander, Fargo, N.D., and Steven Alexander and wife, Rizza, Fort Worth, Texas; step-great-grandson, Anthony Ray; and many other family and friends.

• Private funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021 at the Alma United Methodist Church in Alma, Neb., with Pastor Seong Lee presiding. 

Burial will be at 1 p.m. at the Stockton Cemetery in Stockton. Darrell Rubottom of the Paradise Lodge #290 in Plainville will be leading Masonic rites at the cemetery.

Due to health concerns, regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, current CDC and Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services guidelines for faith-based services and gatherings will be followed. A memorial has been established in Dale’s honor and kindly suggested to: the Alma First United Methodist Church; or the Isis Shriners in Salina.
