ezequiel amador duarteULYSSES – Ezequiel Amador Duarte, 52, died Sunday, April 25, 2021 in Monterey, Nuevo León, Mexico. 

He was born May 18, 1968 to Abelardo Amador and Maria (Duarte) Valles in General Zuazua, Nuevo León, Mexico. 

He married Maria De La Luz Madrid Feb. 13, 2004. She survives. 

He enjoyed fishing, camping, grilling and traveling.

He worked for the City of Ulysses as a groundskeeper, and then for EZ Trucking.

Survivors also include children: Abelardo Amador, Ulysses, Eliazar Madrid Amador and wife, Viviana, Ulysses, Jerry Madrid Amador, Ulysses, and Ezequiel Madrid Amador Jr., Ulysses; siblings: Amador Amador, San Bernardino, Calif., Fernando Amador, General Zuazua, Nuevo León, Mexico, Abel Amador, San Bernardino, Calif., Juan Amador, Parma, Ohio, Noe Amador, General Zuazua, Nuevo León, Mexico, and Noelia Amador, San Bernardino, Calif.; and grandchildren, Elian Amador and Amalee Amador.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

• Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Templo Emmanuel Church in Ulysses, with Pastor George Devora presiding. The service will also be streamed on Garnand Funeral Home’s Facebook page. 

Burial will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses. 

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2021 at Templo Emmanuel Church in Ulysses.
