albert blackwelderAlbert Blackwelder, 71, died Thursday, June 3, 2021. 

He was born Sept. 2, 1949 to Lawrence and Ulah Mae and had two siblings, Bruce and Gail. 

He married Carolyn Grice from Guymon, Okla., and they had four children: Bettina, Bart, Ben, and Jacob; 19 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren.

He went to school in Hooker, Missouri Military Academy, and college in Kentucky. 

He loved hunting and fishing and began building race cars to compete at local tracks.

He farmed with his dad west of Hooker and worked as a mechanic.  He was a reluctant churchgoer through much of his life but grew into a closer walk with the Lord in later years. He frequently asked “Do you love Jesus?  What are you gonna do about it?”

• Celebration of Life services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the Hooker First Baptist Church in Hooker, Okla. with Don Taylor officiating.  

Burial will follow at the Hooker Cemetery in Hooker, Okla.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2021 at Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home.
