Loren Paul Rapp, 87, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021 at his home in Hooker, Okla.

He was born June 29, 1934 in a dugout northwest of Hooker. 

He married Nina Beth Butler Aug. 18, 1956 at the Hooker Methodist Church in Hooker, Okla. She survives.

He graduated from Hooker High School with the Class of 1953. 

After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for three years in the Korean War.

He enjoyed refinishing rifles, hunting and fishing, playing baseball where he was the catcher but most of all, he enjoyed taking his family on vacation.

Survivors also include sons, Louis and LaWanda Rapp, Hooker, Okla., and Loren Charles Rapp, Hooker, Okla.; daughters, Kim and Paul Hidalgo, Hooker, Okla., and Tamara and Daniel Cappellucci, Hooker, Okla.; five grandchildren: Nick and Oksana Hidalgo, Leiah and Greg Barnes, Amber Cappellucci, Lane and Chelsa Cappelucci and Savher Rapp; 10 great-grandchildren: Tryston, Kialey, Alexa, Taelor, Aubri, Harper, Grace, Titus, Hank and Jude; brother, Jim Rapp, Hooker, Okla.; and three sisters: Ruthe and Diz Boyles, Hooker, Okla., Beth Southern, Pennsylvania, and Roberta Cantrell, Amarillo, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ruby Rapp; brothers, Sheldon and Emil Ray Rapp; and granddaughter, Amanda Marie Cappellucci.

• Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021 at the United Methodist Church in Hooker, Okla. with Rev. Jim Reeves presiding. 

Burial will be at the Hooker Cemetery in Hooker, Okla.
