GUEST COLUMN

The odds the Lame Stream Media would find anything positive about the Trump-Un summit were roughly 982,653 to 1. And I truly love and admire what Trump tweeted after the media attacked Secretary of State Mike Pompeo that the signed an agreement that didn’t have any meat to it.
After all, Trump speaks for me and, I would guess, millions of other Americans when he tweeted:
“So funny to watch the Fake News, especially NBC and CNN. They are fighting hard to downplay the deal with North Korea. 500 days ago they would have ‘begged’ for this deal – looked like war would break out. Our Country’s biggest enemy is the Fake News so easily promulgated by fools!”
That last sentence is absolutely true, and I have been preaching it for years. But folks, these attacks to our traditional values are not just with the national media.
Its is going strong right here in Kansas, as well. The evidence is in all the anti-Kobach hate ads. You’ve seen a few on television, but if you look at all the major daily papers in Kansas, and even the smallest weeklies, hatred of Kris Kobach is just beginning to be unleashed.
The owner of all these newspapers across Kansas are in the hands of just a few companies, and they are the epitome of leftist progressives. They hate conservatives with all they have, and it’s not cloaked as it was years ago – it’s now open season on conservatives and their traditional values.
Many realize the Wichita Eagle and the Kansas City Star are owned by the McClatchy Company, a leftist newspaper chain headquartered in Sacramento, Calif. This is one of the most radical chains in America, second only to The New York Times.
Between Wichita and Kansas City Metro area, they spew propaganda to a lot of Kansans. Unfortunately, many turn into those “… so easily promulgated by fools!” that Trump tweeted about.
Another big-time newspaper chain is GateHouse Media, which is owned by News Media Investment Group, another left-wing progressive conglomerate.
They now own the Hutchinson News, the Salina Journal, the Hays Daily News, the Garden City Telegram, the Dodge City Daily Globe, the Ottawa Herald, the papers in McPherson, Newton and Pittsburg – and the Topeka Capital-Journal.
Then we have the White Corporation; a group originating under the name of vaunted newspaperman William Allen White. The group was known years ago as fair with high journalistic standards. Unfortunately, that is harder to find nowadays.
That left-leaning group owns the Emporia Gazette, the Junction City Daily Union, the Abilene Reflector-Chronicle, the Wamego Smoke Signal, the Chase County Leader News, the St. Marys Star and the Westmoreland Recorder.
Of course, we can’t forget the Ogden Newspapers. It’s based in West Virginia and owns 40 newspapers from New York to Hawaii – most in Florida.
In Kansas, Ogden owns the Lawrence Journal-World, the Shawnee Dispatch, the Tonganoxie Mirror and three more papers. Again, like the others, the Ogden Group dispatches the left-wing progressive agenda.
It’s easy to see why Kansas leans a little left now and then – the folks are inundated with progressive propaganda on the editorial pages (and often the news pages) of all these newspapers above.
So, when you see the anti-Kobach ads with headlines attributed to the Wichita Eagle or the Lawrence Journal-World or the KC Star criticizing Kobach with innuendo or outright misinformation, remember the sources.
Don’t fall for the garbage you’re being fed from these newspapers. And be glad you have a locally-owned newspaper that keeps it’s politics on the Op-Ed Page, and reflects the values of the majority and does not try to define your values.
The people that control these newspapers above are determined to destroy conservative Christian values, the Constitution, individual freedom and the American way of life. Every day, they try to tell their communities what their values should be. They want socialism at best or communism at worst.
And if you don’t think like them and believe what they believe, you’re the enemy – and don’t ever forget that. They hate you if you support Kobach, which I proudly do.
