If babies are born alive, why won’t Democrats protect them?

I have consistently explained throughout the 20-plus years I’ve been writing op-ed columns, I was raised a Democrat and realized while I was a hippie in college I didn’t see very many things about the Democratic Party that coincided with my beliefs.

I became a conservative Republican within two years – the anti-Vietnam War protests and the way Americans treated our returning warriors were high on my list of negative feelings about Democrats.

Throughout the years, the Democratic Party has turned left and more left, and my interests in world history proved my gut instincts from the late 1960s were true – socialism and communism is the religion of the Democratic Party.

When I watched the chaos and death while we crawled out of Afghanistan, it brought back all those feelings I discovered about Democrats when I watched us crawl out of Vietnam with our tails between our legs.

I was right then, and I’m right now.

I also have more confirmations of my gut feelings that the Democratic Party is the most devious – and dangerous – political party in our nation’s history.

On Wednesday, Jan. 11, “210 Democrats voted against a bill requiring medical care for babies born alive after an abortion attempt.”

That was the headline that confirmed my deep-down belief that the Democratic Party was no longer a functional vehicle that people could affix their reins to in America. 

The Democratic leadership is so far left that even a newborn baby lying on the abortion table is not worthy of saving if it interferes with the agenda of death, which Democrats advocate.

The U.S. House passed the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act Wednesday.

“The bill passed 220-210, and all 210 of the ‘no’ votes came from Democrats,” according to a report written by Peter Kasperowicz posted at Foxnews.com. “Only one Democrat voted for the bill — Rep. Henry Cuellar of Texas — and one other Democrat, Rep. Vicente Gonzalez of Texas, voted ‘present.’”

Republicans – as well as myself – remember when Virginia’s former Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam calmly suggested new laws should allow the mother and doctor to determine if an aborted baby born alive should live or die.

Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio recounted Northam’s words when he said, “We all know in 2019, then-Gov. Northam of the state of Virginia stated this: ‘The infant would be delivered, the infant would be kept comfortable, the infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.’”

“‘The cavalier attitude he displayed towards human life is just wrong,’ Jordan added. ‘It is simple. Infants born alive following an abortion are kids, are children. All newborns deserve the same level of care.’”

The bill that passed says “ … any infant born alive after an attempted abortion is a ‘legal person for all purposes under the laws of the United States,’” Kasperowicz noted. “Doctors would be required to care for those infants as a ‘reasonably diligent and conscientious health care practitioner would render to any other child born alive.’”

But saving a baby’s life wasn’t that important to the Democrats

Why is that?

What political party in today’s world says even if a baby survives the horrible and traumatic efforts to kill it and it is lying there on a bloody table crying to the world, we’d just as soon let it die naturally or cut its throat, I guess?

The enormity of that disregard for human life at a human’s true infancy makes me shudder to my soul. I will never see Democrats as worthy opponents in this fight for life and democracy as our Founding Fathers spelled it out.

Here are some of their so-called reasons for taking this stance against baby’s lives.

“‘We all know what this is about. It is not about the protection of newborn children. It’s about control,’ said Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove, D-Calif, according to Kasperowicz. “It’s about the nationwide abortion ban that Republicans have been itching to enact since the overturning of Roe v. Wade.’”

Another lie within an insane argument that there is a ban. The U.S. Supreme Court did not ban or eliminate abortions, it simply said abortions should be left to the voters of each state. An antithesis to Democrats who believe they should have control of every state and to heck  with those stupid voters – the American people.

“Rep. Suzanne Bonamici, D-Ore., also cast the bill as an attempt to ban abortion, and said it is ‘extremist, dangerous and unnecessary.’” Kasperowicz reported.

There is no mention “ANYWHERE” in the bill calling for banning abortion. But that’s the MO of Democrats – they don’t even read a bill, they just look to their evil leadership which tells the little brainwashed lemmings what to do and what to say.

The Democrats vote to disapprove of saving the life of an aborted baby who survives the ordeal is abhorrent – any way you slice it or try to spin it or try to lie about it.

They are disgusting, and everyone who has an ounce of decency left in their souls should shun Democrats and vote them out of every office in America.

Period.

PS: Next they will be voting to kill those ill humans who are older than 70 or 80 – no since trying to save their sorry lives. We kill babies, why not murder sick seniors?
