GUEST COLUMN, Larry Phillips, Kismet
The bombardment from progressive Democrats attacking traditional Christian values is always overlooked by the Lame Stream Media. In fact, it is the media, Hollywood, TV producers and even national advertising agencies that overwhelmingly support, produce and promote virulent attacks on traditional family values and Biblical teachings.
Those facts came to mind Tuesday when I came across, unfortunately, a typical story about child pornography.
A Missouri man, Kenneth Larrecha, 48, “was sentenced to 13 years in federal prison for possessing child pornography, including nude images of a friend’s prepubescent daughter,” according to an online article by Tony Rizzo at the Kansas City Star.
Seems this man was identified during an investigation of a New York man who was convicted of trading child pornography online.
Larrecha’s plea agreement included information that authorities found “numerous pornographic images during a search of his cell phone. Those included pictures of a nude girl who appeared to be unaware she was being photographed.
“The girl appeared to be about 10 or 11,” Rizzo reported.
Are we, as a civilized society, really impacted by this horror, or have we been – as the progressives want – only slightly bothered because we have become so insensitive or accustomed to it – hearing it nearly daily?
I know the answer to that question, and shame on us all.
We have allowed television and cable stations to inundate us with morally corrupt shows that promote homosexuality or how wonderful lesbians are who live with a man, all three sharing the bed together. That’s just one of the new shows coming out of the closet and onto the airwaves.
We have the “funny” Modern Family that celebrates and humorizes despicable behavior by numerous disfunctional human beings. But the producers want us all to accept these behaviors as “normal.”
It’s garbage, and pure unadulterated brainwashing. Unfortunately, decent society seems to barely notice. Some are even bemused, progressives using humor to hook people who really have no moral compass.
We get a cable series that humanizes one of these mentally confused individuals – a transgender teenager. It follows the life of an emotionally twisted teenage girl who wants to become a sexual transgender. They try to portray her as a sweet and tormented, poor little thing.
The fact is she’s mentally ill, and her parents are disgustingly sick.
Even our children are being brainwashed by animated cartoons that promote anti-Christian values. There is Danger & Eggs. Ballyhooed by progressives as a show that “Has got queer themes, queer characters and co-created by an openly transgender person.”
God help us to have the moral backbone to openly reject this lifetsyle, the stations and their advertisers.
The media just gushes that these shows are making it into our homes. The “failing” New York Times had a Feb. 2017, article online with the headline: “14 TV Shows That Broke Ground With Gay and Transgender Characters.”
The writer rhapsodized: “Last year was a remarkable time when it came to the representation of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or queer regular characters on television.”
Calling that sickening fact a “Milestone,” it continued: “Along with more accurate story lines and fewer stereotypes has been a long time coming — a turbulent 45-year trajectory from television movies to single episodes involving secondary players to fully fleshed-out characters central to a show’s story line.”
Then look at Amazon, a paragon of pushing the LGBT lifestyle. On Autotstraddle.com, it boasts Amazon’s “32 TV Shows and Movies With Lesbian or Bi Characters Streaming on Amazon Prime.”
Why do we sit back and allow this indoctrination of our society? Just because a small minority of people have some behavioral sicknesses, why are they pushed down our throats? Why are we supposed to “believe, accept or die” when it comes to these abnormalities?
If people want to have sex with their horses and marry them – fine. But don’t dictate to me it’s “wonderful to finally come out of the stable and free my feelings for Flicka. And if you don’t accept my equus-copulatuus, you’re a bigot.”
It’s their right of free speech to promote unholiness, but we also have the right of free speech to tell them we disagree.
And brother, I’m sick of it, and I pray I’m not the only one.
