larry phillipsGUEST COLUMN, Larry Phillips, Kismet

A judge once considered by B. Hussein Obama and the Democratic Socialists to be worthy of a Supreme Court Justice has turned into a tyrannical anti-constitutional attorney general.

At the request of like-minded socialist controlling the National School Board Association (NSBA) and an order from the puppet masters of Joseph “Fidel” O’Biden, AG Merrick Garland has shown he is truly a radical ideologue.

Garland has surrendered the “supposed” autonomy of the Department of Justice by weaponzing his FBI Gestapo in directing its agents to investigate parents at school board meetings as domestic terror threats.

Who could ever imagine the outright – nay overt and outrageous – call by a U.S. Presidential Administration to subvert freedom of speech and association by using the nation’s top law enforcement organization to threaten and intimidate parents of school-aged children across the countryside?

Unbelievable.

First off, we can thank God Garland will never see the chair he once dreamed of filling on SCOTUS. He knows kowtowing to O’Biden’s directive is wholly unethical and unconstitutional, but he did it anyway, knowing full well he can kiss his dream goodbye to ever being a sitting judge again unless, it’s maybe at a dog show or a county beauty contest.

But let’s look deeper at how this all came about. The “Managing Team” at NSBA is a die-hard radical group that’s invested totally in “equity” – not equality.

“Working with and through our State Associations and the U.S. territory of the Virgin Islands, NSBA advocates for equity and excellence in public education through school board governance,” according to its website under “mission” statement

The organization also includes its Equity Councils:

“NSBA has instituted four councils to represent school board members in districts with underserved students. The councils – the National American Indian/Alaska Native Council of School Board Members (AIAN), the National Black Council of School Board Members (NBC), the Council of Urban Boards of Education (CUBE), and the National Hispanic Council (NHC) – are working to ensure school board members both understand and are equipped to support the unique needs of historically underserved children.”

Where’s the National Association to Protect White Students From Racism?

The NSBA “Management Team” consists of:

• Verjeana McCotter-Jacobs, Chief Transformation Officer. She signed the Sept. 24 letter to O’Biden as “President.”

• Chip Slaven, Interim Executive Director & CEO.

• Jane Mellow, Interim Chief Advocacy Officer.

• Francisco M. Negrón, Jr., Chief Legal Officer.

All but Mellow are lawyers. Their website even brags that Negrón heads their “Legal Advocacy Program, which files more amicus briefs in the United States Supreme Court and in federal and state appellate courts across the country each year than all national education associations combined.

“Negrón also leads the 3,200-member Council of School Attorneys, the national network of lawyers representing K-12 public schools,” the NSBA boasts.

They sure got their money’s worth with him, eh?

Another fact NSBA doesn’t hide is several members also have ties to Robert Ellsworth Wise Jr. and Sen. Robert Byrd.

Yes, the same Democratic Sen. Byrd who’s the well known Ku Klux Klan member elected to the Senate decades ago.

Remember my writings about how Dems evolutionized their chains and slave quarters by feeding Blacks at the trough of government subsistence? Entitlements are the 20th Century slave chains of today.

Slaven has deep government relations experience having served as director of federal policy and intergovernmental affairs for Governor Wise, according to his bio.

“Mellow worked on Capitol Hill for 15 years as Legislative Director – first for then-Rep. Wise and then for Sen. Byrd,” according to the NSBA Website.

A Democrat, Bob Wise served as the 33rd Governor of West Virginia from 2001 to 2005, and he also served in the U.S. House from 1983 until 2001. In 2005 Wise became the president of the Alliance for Excellent Education, a nonprofit organization that focuses on reforming the nation’s high schools.

Wise worked with Byrd, another West Virginian, and Byrd called Wise “a steam engine with britches.”

High praise from a Klansman.

Wise served in all kinds of positions, but as West Virginia’s governor, he announced he would not seek re-election in 2004. His reason for not running against Sen. Joe Manchin – Wise admitted he was having an affair with a married 35-year-old state worker She admitted it, too, in her divorce filing. Wise was 56.

In 2005, Wise was appointed as president of Alliance for Excellent Education, a non-profit, where he served for years. He has been involved with education for decades, too. He survived prostate cancer in 1999 and presently is involved with several groups fighting cancer at age 73.

FYI: “In 2018, when the (global) test was last administered, the U.S. placed 11th out of 79 countries in science. It did worse in math, ranking 30th,” according to www.thebalance.com. “In fact, U.S. test scores are now below the global average.”

Disgraceful, at best.

One wonders if Ol’ Stumblin’ Bumblin’ O’Biden ever developed a friendship with Wise throughout all those decades the two spent on Capitol Hill? (Wise was a Senator from 1980 to 1982).

And, who of Wise’s acolytes on the NSBA Management Team are also old buddies of the current President and his puppet masters?

Somebody knew where to pull the strings when they claimed to O’Biden that parents were threats, just because they are concerned their babes are being indoctrinated by the subversive leftists controlling most of the school boards and all of academia today.

Angry parents are now considered by this Democrat-Socialist Administration as “domestic terrorists.” And Garland agreed.

Unimaginable. Hope you Dems are happy.

When are “We The People” going to stand up and say, “Enough is enough – we’re not going to take it any more?”
