Tuesday night the Eisenhower Lady Warrior eighth graders took on the Dodge City Cardinals. It was a low scoring first half with the score tied 9-9. In the second half the Lady Warriors took control of the game and came away with 26-17 victory. 

Leading scorer was Aaliyah Morales with 11 points, Rubi Alvarez added seven. and leading rebounder was Aleczis Green with 10.

The Eisenhower Lady Warrior eighth grade B team  opened the game strong with three quick baskets from Jasmin Huaman and Stacy Bangs. The Warriors continued to play well in the first half shutting down the Cardinals 14-0. Eisenhower continued to dominate the rest of the way, finishing with a 26-7 win. 

“Offensively, the girls are finding open lanes and finishing lay-ups and shots,” Lady Warrior coach James Babinec said. “Defensively, we did a better job blocking out and rebounding. However, we still need to be quicker and anticipate better.”

Leading the Warrior attack was Jasmin Huaman with eight points, Stacy Bangs had six, Alidah Amando scored four, and  Mia Macias, Karolina Espinoza, Mille Jarquin, and Danyelle Love each added two.

Lady Warriors seventh A team came out ready to play against the Lady Cardinals. 

The team came out playing strong defense and attacking the basket. 

Two Lady Warriors were in double digits. Trinity Olvera led the Lady Warriors with 14 points, and Madysen Hammond scored 10 points. Shiaa Dunlap scored four points, and Angel Luna added two. The strong Warrior defense helped win game 30-3.

The B team played the best game of their season so far but fell short at the end. 

Five Lady Warriors scored 2 points including Emily Velasquez, Lorena Meza, Angel Luna, Rebecca Davis, and Eliana Perez. The Warrior defense improved as well as their offense. Warriors lost to the Lady Cardinals 14-10.
