Liberal High School soccer went to Garden City Tuesday and came home with a 3-2 victory.
The scoring got started by Garden City with a goal seven minutes into the game to take the 1-0 lead.
The Redskins responded with a Seth Michel free kick that found the back of the net with 15 minutes left in the first half.
The first half ended all tied at 1-1.
Liberal got the scoring started 14 minutes into the second half with a Manny Ortuno penalty kick after a hand ball by the Garden City defense that prevented a goal.
Garden City then responded with a goal from a free kick just outside the box to tie the game up at 2-2.
With less than 2 minutes left in regulation Giezi Gonzalez found Erick Garcia to take a 3-2 lead.
Garden City responded with a couple attempts on goal but Gael Ruvalcaba came up with a couple big saves.
Liberal moved to 5-3 on the season and will play back-to-back games against Hays starting with a road game today and then hosting the Indians Saturday.
