The Liberal Redskins were shorthanded at the Pratt wrestling tournament Saturday, but Trystian Juarez was able to claim first place in the 190-pound weight division.
“Varsity traveled to Pratt short handed with some illnesses and youth sent to Goodland for more experience,” Liberal assistant coach Tommy McClure said. “The boys faced some tough wrestling in first tournament of the season placing fifth.”
Tommy McClure and Alex Schwindt each took third place. Javon Allen and Bryan Casas each earned fourth.
The varsity travels to Colby Friday for the Colby Dual tournament.
