The bowl season has ended, and it could possibly be one of the hardest to predict according to all the entries received.

Few chose TCU to make it to the national championship game, and the Air Force victory over Baylor came as another surprise.

No one aced the $1,000 Bowl Challenge.

The Arizona Bowl was not counted since it was misprinted as Wyoming against Idaho rather than Wyoming against Ohio. That became a freebie for all entries.

Liberal football coach Bryan Luetters struggled alongside most entries, turning in an 18-24 bowl season.

Liberal assistant football coach Trace Haskell and sports reporter Earl Watt tied with identical 20-22 records.

Richard Dent and Butch Dick led the pack with identical 28-14 records, and both chose Georgia as the national champion.

Both will receive an additional month added to their newspaper subscriptions.

Coming in third was Matt Fitzgerald at 27-15.

Tom Salas was fourth at 26-16, Ron Ryckman, Brent Evans and Ed Poley were tied for fifth at 24-18, David Gordo was eighth at 23-19, and Paul Fisher and Ken Hamilton tied for ninth at 22-20 to round out the Top 10.

Watch in March for the Bracketbuster Challenge.
