In what may seemed like a mismatch, the Lady Redskins hosted the shorthanded Thomas More Prep Lady Monarchs Thursday and came away with a dominating 9-0 win.
The Lady Monarchs only had nine players to face off against the starting 11 of Liberal, and early in the second half an injury dropped the Lady Monarchs down to eight.
The Lady Redskins needed about 10 minutes before Jenavee Zuniga put the first goal in the Lady Monarch net, and Karime Neave scored about four minutes later off a pass from Arely Reveles for a 2-0 lead.
But the Lady Monarchs kept Liberal scoreless for about 20 minutes until Neave scored an another pass from Reveles for a 3-0 lead.
With 2:20 remaining in the first half, Hayleen Martinez added a goal, and Nicole Catalan scored with 1:08 to play in the half for a 5-0 Liberal lead.
Neave scored early in the second half off a pass from Abi Lopez, and Lopez scored with 31:43 to play off a pass from Catalan for a 7-0 lead.
Lopez scored again with 31:21 to play for an 8-0 lead, and Jazlin Marquez scored on a penalty kick with 19:35 to play for the final goal of the game in a 9-0 win.
