The Eisenhower Middle School seventh grade football team defeated the Kenneth Henderson Falcons 43-0 Thursday night in their home opener at Warriors Field. 

The Warriors got off to a quick start with a one-play, 67-yard touchdown run by Josiah Vargas. Xavier Tafoya ran in the two-point conversion, and the Warriors had an 8-0 lead. 

The Warriors scored on another one-play, 57 yard drive on a run by Xavier Tafoya. Vargas ran in the two-point conversion. 

Vargas the scored two more touchdowns in the first quarter on 15- and 20-yard runs for a Warrior 30-0 lead. Vargas then scored on defense with a 27-yard pick six driving the score to 36-0. 

The Warriors scored one more time on a 51-yard run by Austin Dodge pushing the halftime and final score to 43-0. Oscar Sanchez converted three of four extra points in the game. 

Vargas ended with 127 yards on just six carries with three touchdowns and one pick six. Tafoya and Dodge both scored their first touchdowns of their EMS careers. 

Alec Madden ran the ball three times for 28 yards, and Easton Cooley on his birthday had two carries for 11 yards and nine tackles on defense. 

The Warriors will be home Thursday to take on the Great Bend Panthers.
