Rondal Wayne Plunk, 91, died Dec. 29, 2025 at his home in Wichita.
He was born Nov. 4, 1934 to Clifton Plunk and Rena (Lewis) Plunk.
He graduated from Eureka High School in Baker, Okla. in 1952.
He worked in the oil and gas industry with Halliburton and Northern Natural Gas, including a two-year period in Tripoli, Libya, North Africa. He later returned to farming with his family.
He retired from the Andover School District after many years of driving buses. One of his greatest joys was his years of driving the Andover Central High School sports teams.
Survivors include children: Cynthia Plunk Dodson and husband, Blake, Michael Plunk, and Kelly Plunk and wife, Susan; brother, Terry Plunk; sister, Doneva Plunk Parr; beloved mini schnauzer, Scooter; grandchildren: Aimee Strong, Jeremy and Tiffany Plunk, Joshua and Alma Plunk, Jason Plunk, Justin Plunk, Brandon and Marguerite Plunk, Nicholas Froling, Rob and Carrie Davison, and Sara and Jon Conte; and great grandchildren: Chloe Sadler, Jayden and Kassandra Plunk, Kaitlyn and Ethan Plunk, Noah and Piper Plunk, Nate, Emma and Ashley Davison, Samantha Conte, and twins due in June 2026.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Delmar Plunk and Glen Plunk; sisters, Vernetta Plunk Clampitt and Norma Plunk Rook; and wives, Leslie Lucas Plunk and Norma Dee Plunk.
• Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 23 at the Turpin Methodist Church in Turpin, Okla.
Burial will take place at the Liberal City Cemetery in Liberal.
