Veronica Claire Butler, 27, died Sunday, April 14, 2024.
She was born Feb. 28, 1997 to Clinton Butler and Amanda (Butler) Verner.
She and Tracy Lee Peitz began their journey together Feb. 13, 2019, and they became quite the duo over the last five years.
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, she devoted herself to ensuring the well-being of residents in various nursing homes, where her hard work and efforts never went unnoticed. She was currently attending Seward County Community College to become a surgical tech.
Her culinary skills delighted the community when she acquired Sunflower Nutrition, with her homemade biscuits and gravy in particular were a local favorite.
Beyond her professional achievements, she found joy in simple pleasures like cooking, gardening, dancing in the kitchen at 3 a.m. with Tracy, and basking in the beauty of the great outdoors. She epitomized warmth and generosity, always ready to offer a listening ear or a comforting presence to those around her.
She was a member of the Hugoton Assembly of God Church. She was a faithful servant to her Lord by helping with 180 Youth on Wednesday nights and she also helped with Blessing Bags.
Survivors include fiancé, Tracy Peitz; children, Cole and Kendyl; mother, Amanda Verner and stepfather, Seth; father, Clinton Butler and stepmother, Lupe; siblings: Randy, Junia, Bryson, Cooper, Grady, Sheyla, and Isis; and many other friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Maynard and Karla Dean; and paternal grandparents, Rodney and Rita Butler.
• Celebration of Life services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2024 at the Hugoton Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Tim Singer presiding.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2024, and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Robson Funeral Home at 314 S. Van Buren Street in Hugoton.
