Margaret Leann Herrera, 54, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024 in Amarillo, Texas.
She was born April 5, 1970 to Ernest Herrera and Betty (Johnson) Garcia in Rocky Ford, Colo.
She graduated from Liberal High School in 1988 before attending the Liberal Area Vo Tech.
Her professional life was characterized by a remarkable 35-year career as a Yields Clerk for National Beef.
She was a devoted member of the Believer’s Ministry Church and a warm-hearted and dedicated individual.
Above all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. She found immense joy in raising her son, Aaron, and daughter, Monika, nurturing them with love and guidance, and as a grandmother, she embraced each moment spent with her grandchildren.
Survivors include son, Aaron Esquibel and wife, Daisy, Turpin, Okla.; daughter, Monika Falcon and husband, Gilberto, Liberal; brothers, Daniel Johnson, Liberal, and Juan Garcia and wife, Delores, Ft. Worth, Texas; sisters, Penney Herrera, Sublette, and Vanessa Rodriguez, Pueblo Colo.; grandchildren: Hazen Falcon, Bentley Esquibel, and Elisa Esquibel (due in November); and nieces and nephews: Michael Herrera and Andrea Aguilar, Pueblo, Colo., Antonio Aguilar and Hector Aguilar, Denver, Juan Garcia, Ayiana Garcia, and Kristtian Garcia, Irving, Texas, and Ynara Garcia, Fort Worth, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her mother; and grandparents, Mary Jane Johnson and George Johnson.
• Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024 at Trinity Faith Church at 2264 S. Kansas Avenue in Liberal, with Pastor Frank Holman presiding.
Burial will follow at the Liberal City Cemetery in Liberal.
