ULYSSES – Michael Anthony Ybarra, 60, died Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Satanta District Hospital in Satanta.
He was born Aug. 28, 1965 to Eduvigen and Corina (Velasquez) Ybarra.
He graduated from Ulysses High School with the Class of 1983. After high school, he attended Fort Hays State University before returning home to Ulysses.
He worked at JE Crutchfield and later at Casillas Petroleum.
Sandra Louise “Sandy” Schmidt, 70, died Feb. 28, 2026 at Homestead Assistant Living in Garden City.
She was born January 20, 1956 in Hugoton.
She graduated from Hugoton High School in 1974 and continued her studies at Seward County Community College in Liberal.
Charlene Kay Godbey, 69, died Monday, March 2, 2026 in Liberal.
She was born Feb. 28, 1957 to Kenneth and Fannie (Grant) Russell.
She completed her studies at Sublette High School in 1975.
ULYSSES – Larry Anderson, 87, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026 at the Stevens County Hospital.
He was born July 31, 1938 to Fred and Dorothy Anderson.
He married Velda Crawford Dec. 18, 1955. She preceded him in death.
Yaneli Fe Rodriguez, age 6 months, 30 days, died on February 26, 2026, in Liberal.
She was born July 27, 2025 to Ivan and Yadira Rodriguez.
Although Yaneli’s time here was short, she will remain in our hearts and will forever be our perfect princess Fe.
