Ronald Roe Pierce, 82, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
He was born April 5, 1942 to Jay and Nellie (Trimmel) Pierce.
He married Theresa Waybright Carlile Dec. 10, 1970, They divorced in 1974.
He married Peggy Smith Oct. 16, 2002. She survives.
Margaret Leann Herrera, 54, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024 in Amarillo, Texas.
She was born April 5, 1970 to Ernest Herrera and Betty (Johnson) Garcia in Rocky Ford, Colo.
She graduated from Liberal High School in 1988 before attending the Liberal Area Vo Tech.
Elena Isabel Smollock Torres, was born Aug. 18, 2024 to Brett and Liz Smollock Torres. She was called back to heaven Sept. 6, 2024.
She made a very loving impact on her brother, Kayden Florence; and her grandparents: Maria and Jose Rodriguez & George and Rachel Smollock.
• Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. Both will be at the Hornung Family Funeral Home Chapel at 1212 West 2nd Street in Liberal.
Burial will be at the Liberal City Cemetery in Liberal.

ULYSSES – Reyes “Mateo” Maravilla, 2 months old, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024 at Children’s Mercy Kansas City Adele Hall Campus in Kansas City, Mo.
He was born June 20, 2024 to Reyes and Erika (Wickhan) Maravilla.
MEADE – Treston Scott Cook, 22, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2024 at his home in Meade.
He was born Aug. 30, 2002 to Scott and Shelly (Cooper) Cook.
He graduated from Meade High School in 2020. During his high school years, he was involved in several sports and clubs, including Skills USA.
